We offer a range of MPhil and PhD programmes that encompass the wide range of disciplines that the Institute of Inclusive Communities and Environments specialises in.
Our MPhil/PhD programmes are all attached to one of our four Schools within the Faculty and upon registration students will be enrolled with one of the six Research Centres, usually the same Centre to which the primary supervisor is affiliated to. In exceptional cases such as transferring from a different institution, applicants may apply for direct entry on to a PhD programme.
The University of Greenwich's preferred route to a doctorate (PhD) is, in the first instance, registration for an MPhil/PhD. Based on your progress at the MPhil stage of the programme, you can then apply to transfer to a PhD. Throughout the research project, we'll assign you a supervisory team, who will guide and advise you, help you shape ideas, and support your progress. You can take up to four years full-time or seven years part-time to complete a MPhil/PhD programme with us.
