Model Agreements
Please note that Research and Innovation contract review/work needs to be carried out in collaboration with Paul Williams (Head of Contracts and Intellectual Property Services). Only authorised personnel of the University are able to sign-off on such contracts as identified in the University Financial Regulations. No-one else should sign Research and Innovation contracts on behalf of the University.
Model Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is a document that, when signed, will allow one party to discuss their confidential information (including their work and ideas) with other interested third parties. It legally binds those third parties to keep the information confidential and not to disclose it to other parties.
There are two standard NDAs available, which have been approved by the Deputy Vice Chancellor as the standard to be used when academics wish to discuss confidential matters with companies:
- Model Non-Disclosure Agreement
- Model Multi-Party Non-Disclosure Agreement
