This online haematology programme boosts your understanding of blood management and haematology patient management for progression to senior positions.

Our Biomed Online modules are aimed at health sector employees who want to keep their knowledge up to date with the latest developments in biomedical science and related subjects. The haematology programme provides specialist knowledge of current practice in normal and pathological blood management and blood transfusion and haematology patient management.

You can study individual modules for your continuing professional development (CPD) or follow a pathway of modules towards a postgraduate qualification in haematology. The MSc award requires you to complete a research project in the workplace.

Each 12-week online module is tailored to meet workplace needs and comes with full support from an experienced practitioner. The modules have been created by NHS Trusts, Pathology Joint Ventures, Public Health England and the University of Greenwich, and are approved by the Institute of Biomedical Science.

Apply at Greenwich Biomed Online.

Additional info

Students complete two modules for a PG Cert in Haematology, or four modules for a PG Diploma in Haematology. See the pathway options. Students undertaking the full MSc must also complete a workplace-based project.

The modules available for this programme are shown below. The spread over five years is an example of how the study can be completed. There is flexibility for completion in a shorter or longer timeframe – maximum 3 years for PG Cert; 5 years for PG Dip; 7 years for the full MSc.
