Dr J C Kristensen

Senior Lecturer in Design Research

Dr J C Kristensen is an award-winning design researcher, cultural analyst and trends consultant, whose work bridges the academic and commercial worlds.

Specialising in healthcare, technology, placemaking and the third sector, Dr Kristensen helps blue-chip clients and globally recognised brands develop new products, services and strategies by providing insights to assist them in creating socially impactful and commercially successful solutions, which foster inclusivity.

As Academic Portfolio Lead for Design at University of Greenwich, Dr Kristensen draws on her significant experience in design education to direct and manage industry-leading design programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Prior to joining Greenwich in October 2023, she was Programme Lead of the BA Design programme at Goldsmiths, University of London; and Senior Tutor for Critical and Historical Studies for Design at the Royal College of Art, working across its suite of postgraduate taught masters programmes, including product, service fashion, textiles, mobility, and innovation engineering.
