Francesca Gaunt

Francesca is a third-year doctoral student in Criminology at the University of Greenwich. She completed a master's degree in Criminology and Criminal Psychology also at the University of Greenwich, which focused on the boundaries of public and private space, as explored through home invasion films. Francesca is also an associate member of the Gender, Deviance and Society research group.
Responsibilities within the university
The working title for Francesca’s thesis is: Deviant domesticity: An exploration of the spatial arrangement of erotic spaces of webcam models.
This thesis research is based on the relationship between domestic space and sexual performance, focusing on the construction of the environments in which online webcam performers are in. By using innovative methodologies, such as netnography and object analysis not fully utilised in criminology, she unpacks the notion of ‘constructed authenticity’ within space.
