Dr Zarak Khan
Senior Lecturer in Engineering Design
Having over a decade of teaching experience in higher education, Dr Zarak began his academic journey by completing a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from HITEC University, Taxila. He then pursued his MS and PhD in Design and Manufacturing from NUST Islamabad. Following his studies, he joined HITEC University as an Assistant Professor in 2018, where he supervised numerous BSc, MSc, and PhD students in mechanical engineering.
Dr Zarak's research focus has been on Numerical Modeling and Simulation, Material Characterization and Testing, Optimization of Manufacturing Processes, High-Speed Sheet Metal Forming, Rapid Prototyping, Tooling & Manufacturing, and Circular Design and Manufacturing. He has published extensively in these areas and has secured research funds from RAC and IGNITE Pakistan.
In 2024, he joined the University of Greenwich as a Senior Lecturer in Engineering Design. He currently serves as the Programme Lead for Product Design Engineering and is the module leader for Product Design Engineering, Computer-Aided Design, and Group Design & Project Management. His research continues to drive innovation in advanced manufacturing technologies.
