Senior Lecturer in Quantity Surveying

Dr Sylvester Manege is a senior lecturer in Quantity Surveying at the School of Engineering. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at the University of the West of England (UWE) as a lecturer in Quantity Surveying and at Heriot-Watt University as an Assistant Professor. Additionally, he has practical industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor for a construction company in Tanzania.

Dr Manege holds a PhD in Construction and a master's degree in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying from Heriot-Watt University. He also earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from UWE and a bachelor's degree in Building Economics from Ardhi University, Tanzania.

His professional journey is distinguished by a strong commitment to research, demonstrated through numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and presentations at international conferences. Dr Manege is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), reflecting his dedication to both education and the construction industry.
