Dr Erwin George
Senior Lecturer
Erwin George is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences. He completed his PhD in Computational Applied Mathematics under the supervision of Professor James Glimm at the State University of New York at Stony Brook (SUNY Stony Brook) in 2003. He has subsequently worked as a Research and Teaching Fellow in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at SUNY Stony Brook, a Research Fellow in the Mathematics Institute at the University of Warwick, and a Lecturer in the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh, before joining the University of Greenwich. His teaching has covered a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate level pure and applied mathematics, scientific computing, and probability and statistics, while his research has spanned the fields of fluid dynamics, numerical analysis, and mathematical and computational biology.
