Dr Elena Irena Popa
Principal Lecturer
Dr. Elena Irena Popa has been a Principal Lecturer for the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Greenwich since 2011. She has been the module leader for several modules such Enterprise Software Engineering Development, Applications and Web development, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, Software Development Project.
Currently she is the assessment officer for the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences. The Assessment Officer role involves taking the lead in managing the assessment process; The role also involves ensuring students are recommended for prizes as appropriate.
She has been involved as a consultant and software developer in many industry projects. Working with the industry allowed her to expand and consolidate her knowledge of current trends in applied analysis and design, as well as programming.
Dr. Popa has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (Case base reasoning) and she has also been involved with KTP and KEET projects within the university.
