Dr Anushka Rathnayake
Lecturer in Quantity Surveying
Dr Anushka Rathnayake is a distinguished academic specialising in Quantity Surveying and Building Information Modelling (BIM). Currently a Lecturer at the University of Greenwich, Dr Rathnayake brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom, particularly in construction management and quantity surveying.
Dr Rathnayake holds a PhD in Quantity Surveying and Building Information Modelling, showcasing their expertise in integrating technology with construction practices. They also earned an MSc in Construction Project Management from the University of Salford and graduated with First Class Honours in BSc Quantity Surveying and Construction Management from Sheffield Hallam University.
Dr Rathnayake is actively involved in professional organizations as the Chair of the Quantity Surveying Institute (QSI) in Sri Lanka and a member of QSI as well as a Student Member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
In addition to their role at the University of Greenwich, Dr Anushka Rathnayake has served as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton and previously taught at the University of the West of England. Their industry experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor further enhances their academic teachings, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
