Aneta Sahely
Senior Human Science Technician (Psychology)
Aneta joined the University of Greenwich in January 2022 as a Graduate Teaching Demonstrator and soon became a Senior Lab Technician. Her responsibilities include maintaining the psychology labs as well as managing specialist equipment and software (e.g. EEG, eye tracking). She also provides her expertise to support research of both students and staff. Her favourite part of the role is teaching research methods and statistics.
Aneta also assists research at The Havens, a specialist centre of survivors of sexual assault. She is investigating the effectiveness of EMDR therapy on sexual trauma processing. Aneta is currently studying MSc Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience. Her professional interests include research on female-centered experiences such as pregnancy, as well as sensory perception phenomena and flow states.

Research / Scholarly interests
Aneta is interested in research within the field of neuropsychology. Her dissertation investigated the psychological and physiological effects of ASMR. She is also interested in working with sexual assault survivors and refugees, particularly on how effective EMDR therapy is in trauma processing.
