Dr. Shreyashi Chakraborty is a Lecturer in Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour in the Department of Marketing and Management at the University of Greenwich Business School.  Prior to joining the University of Greenwich in June 2022, Shreyashi was teaching in the oldest business school in India in XLRI Jamshedpur. She had actively mentored postgraduate students for their dissertations and internships.


She completed her PhD from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (first Indian business school with triple accreditation) and won the Emerald/EFMD outstanding dissertation Award in the year 2017. She had extensively worked on gender diversity management policies and practices in the Indian software industry. She has published her work in reputed journals like Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: An International Journal, Journal of Management Development and contributed to edited books published by Palgrave Macmillan and Edward Elgar Publishing. She was the Chairperson of Centre for Gender Equality and Inclusive Leadership in XLRI. She has been active in the area of women empowerment and women’s rights and has conducted seminars and moderated panel discussions on topics related to diversity. She is actively engaged in consulting with firms on developing training and development modules and devising solutions and initiatives for better workplaces.


Prior to her PhD, she had worked in Tata Consultancy Services Limited as a Talent Acquisition executive and Software Developer. She won awards for her contribution to the team for outstanding results in Talent Acquisition. She strongly believes her first corporate experience paved the path for her continued higher education resulting in an MBA and PhD and her focus on diversity and inclusion in workplaces.
