Rajnigandha Kumar
Post Graduate Research Teaching Assistant
Rajnigandha Banerjee Kumar is a full-time PhD student with the Greenwich Business School. Having won both the best student award and the best dissertation award for her masters' thesis, she has successfully completed a 1st-class Masters degree in HRM from the University of Greenwich in 2021. She continues to investigate motherhood and work and employment opportunities for mothers returning to work and how does the intersectionality of gender with race and class impact mothers' decisions to return to work. She has an honours in Accounting as her undergraduate degree. She has worked as a communications and soft skills trainer and has over 6 years of training experience in learning and development with the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industry.
Responsibilities within the university
- I have been associated with the MAHRM’s Masters’ Research Report (MRR) module (INDU-1163) for the past two years in delivering qualitative research methods tutorial with Dr Sterling.
- I have also been a personal tutor to MAHRM students for their Masters’ dissertation.
Research / Scholarly interests
I am interested in qualitative research and investigation of lived experiences of women/ mothers around work and employment, equality and justice, policy making around motherhood, women’s work and identity, equality, diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Gender-pay Gap, Intersectionality, class structures to name a few.
