Dr Patricia Ntozi-Obwale
Senior Lecturer
Dr Patricia Ntozi-Obwale is a researcher and senior lecturer in finance. She holds a Bachelor of Statistics from Makerere University (Uganda) and an MSc Finance and PhD Finance from Strathclyde University. Before joining the University of Greenwich, Dr Ntozi-Obwale was a lecturer at the University of Dundee and a teaching assistant at Strathclyde University. Dr Ntozi-Obwale has also worked with the central bank of Uganda and a commercial bank.
Dr Ntozi-Obwale's research has focused on performance of UK unit trusts, using conditional market timing and selectivity measures of performance. This research incorporates economic variables that have correlations with UK stock returns in the fund performance models. Dr Ntozi-Obwale's research has mostly been quantitative but she is also interested in qualitative studies among fund managers to understand their perspective of performance and their application of finance theory.
