Dr Panagiotis Panagiotou
Senior Lecturer in Finance and Banking
Panagiotis joined the Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics in August 2019 as a Lecturer in Finance and Banking Institute of Political Economy, Governance, Finance and Accountability (PEGFA). He completed his Ph.D. in Finance at Bayes (formerly Cass) Business School, City, University of London. His research interests broadly fall within the field of empirical market microstructure. Prior to his PhD, Panagiotis had several years of professional experience in the financial services industry. Panagiotis is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Responsibilities within the university
Panagiotis is the Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Business with Finance and BA Business with Accounting. He is also the Module Leader for the ECON1178 Trading in Financial Markets module (Level 6). He supervises postgraduate students.
Panagiotis also teaches the following modules:
- Principles of Finance (PG)
- Investment Management (UG)
- Introduction to Economics and Finance (UG)
