Katherine Leopold
Senior Teaching Fellow, Faculty Employability Lead
Katherine Leopold is a Senior Teaching Fellow – Employability in the Departments of Accounting and Finance and Economics and International Business. She holds a BA Hons German and Linguistics from the University of Manchester and an Executive MBA from the University of Greenwich. She is a Senior Fellow of the HEA. She has been a visiting lecturer at the University since 2009, joining the Business School Employability Office as a Senior Employability Consultant in 2012, moving into her current role in 2020. Before joining the University, Katherine worked as a recruitment consultant and in other commercial roles.
Responsibilities within the university
Katherine is the module leader for:
Personal and Professional Development 1 (PPD1) (Year 1) and Future Paths (Year 2).
She is the Faculty Employability Lead for Future Paths.
Katherine lectures on Financial Analysis and Professional Practice, Department of Accounting and Finance. She delivers employability workshops for Msc Accounting and Finance suite (Msc Accounting and Finance, MSc Finance and Investment, MSc Banking and Finance, MSc Financial Management and Risk), and Msc Economics. She is a client consultancy project supervisor for Executive MBA.

Research / Scholarly interests
Katherine is currently collaborating on research considering the impact and efficacy of employability interventions on undergraduate students. She also has a research interest in Business Education pedagogy.
