Research / Scholarly interests
My scholarly interests include Global Business Services (GBS), Operations Management, Global Value Chains (GVC); Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), including offshoring re-shoring and; location decision frameworks; and the role of government in supporting investment.
My future research work will focus on outsourcing economics and frameworks, and a concept called Impact Sourcing, understanding how people who have been deliberately excluded from the mainstream economy can benefit from GBS/BPO. One of my recent co-authored journals awaiting publication - ‘Table mountain or Stellenbosch wine, why Cape Town a popular choice for Business Process is Outsourcing Firms?’ - seeks to establish why BPO companies favour Cape Town as a BPO destination.
