Dr Octavio Murekian
Lecturer in Marketing, Deputy Programme Leader for the MA in Strategic Marketing
Dr. Octavio Murekian joined the university in 2020 and currently works as a Lecturer in Marketing. He has over a decade of experience in marketing, specialising in international marketing, digital marketing, consumer research and behaviour. He has ran B2B and B2C campaigns across every continent in industries such as FMCGs, corporate events in renewable energy, market research and consultancy.
He holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of St. Andrews, and an MBA in International Management and a PhD in Management (Marketing) from Royal Holloway, University of London. His research interests include status consumption and consumer culture, in particular, the influence of culture and social class on consumption.
