The University has a duty to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data relating to staff and students, and other business data that support its operational and strategic objectives.
This is achieved by implementing information security policies, processes, and procedures, user awareness & training and utilising IT resources in ways that that will ensure University data is handled and managed appropriately.
All University staff and students play a significant role and have the responsibility for ensuring that their personal data and University information are protected against events that could compromise the security of personal and business data. As part of the efforts to raise awareness in information security within the University, the Information Security Awareness Course has been provided initially to staff and subsequently to students, to enable them understand and fulfil their responsibilities effectively.
All University staff are required to complete this course and its assessment.
