All lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people have to make decisions about whether to be open about their sexual orientation at work. This is rarely a decision that only has to be made once.
The university believes that people perform better when they can be themselves and recognises the importance of LGBT role models for promoting LGBT visibility and acting as agents of change in the workplace. We hope that acting as role models for the university community we will help to challenge stereotypes and provide inspiration for all staff to be able to be their authentic selves at work.
