How to install / reinstall Teams on your Managed Desktop / Podium PC
Step-by-Step
- To first check to see if Teams is already installed, Click on the Windows button and type the word Teams
- If Teams is already installed, it will appear at the top of the applications menu
- To uninstall, reinstall or install Teams, click on the Windows button and select the Software Center
- Within Software Center, select installation status and search for Teams in the search box
- If Teams appears as installed in software centre, yet you cannot see it in the Windows Start menu you should uninstall it via Software Center before reinstalling
- To install or uninstall Teams, select applications and use the search
- Or simply select Teams to install or uninstall the software as desired
- If there is more than one version of Teams available to install, you should select the latest version
Windows
How to install Microsoft Teams on a Windows device
Step-by-Step
- Go to login.gre.ac.uk and enter your university username followed by @gre.ac.uk and password
Staff: If you are off campus, you will be prompted to enter additional Multi-Factor Authentication credentials
Students: You should log straight into the Microsoft Office 365 portal
- Click on the Microsoft Teams icon
- Teams will launch in your browser – but you will need a local installation to create meetings
- Click on the profile icon at the top right (your initials or profile picture)
- From the dropdown menu, select Download the Desktop app
- The installation software will now download
- From your browser, or File explorer run the installation file
- Once completed, you may need to reboot your computer
MacOS
How to install Microsoft Teams on a MacOS device
Step-by-Step
- Go to login.gre.ac.uk and enter your university username followed by @gre.ac.uk and password
Staff: If you are off campus, you will be prompted to enter additional Multi-Factor Authentication credentials
Students: You should log straight into the Microsoft Office 365 portal
- Click on the Microsoft Teams icon

- Open the Teams app on your phone
- If prompted log-in using your University username@gre.ac.uk and password

iOS

Step-by-Step
- Access the Apple App store
- Search for "Microsoft Teams"
- Download the app called Microsoft Teams and wait for it to install
- Open the Teams app on your phone
- If prompted log-in using your University username@gre.ac.uk and password
