Essential services for studying off-campus
Moodle and Turnitin
Moodle is the university's online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) where you can manage your course resources, assignments, feedback, Panopto recordings and more. Moodle can be accessed via the Learning Support tab in the Portal and via our Mobile App.
Panopto Student Tutorials
Panopto lecture recordings recordings can be viewed on PCs and Macs via Moodle. You may also be asked to record assignments using Panopto. Find out how to do that here.
Student Portal
The Portal provides a single point of access to a range of university information and services. Here you can see your course material, read your emails, access personal calendars, search the library catalogue, view your marks, submit extenuating circumstances, and much more.
Microsoft 365
Access Microsoft Office apps including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams on your university or personal device and work from anywhere.
Student Email
Check your student email regularly to make sure that you keep up to date with the university and your course, so that you can get the most out of university life. Add your email account to your mobile device and keep up to date wherever you are.

The university libraries are filled with so much more than books. The have a wealth of resources that can be used online, wherever you are.
LibGuides
LibGuides is a website dedicated to the university libraries, and contains everything you need to know about the library resources available to you.
LibrarySearch
LibrarySearch is the Library’s main search tool, allowing you to search through many of our print and online collections, such as books, full text journal articles, conference papers and proceedings, reports, eBooks and even some audio visual content in one place.

The IT Service Desk
The IT Service Desk is the first point of contact for all problems and queries relating to our services and software. Our dedicated team of First Line Support staff have a broad knowledge and in many cases can deal directly with requests.
