Our vision
Our vision is to implement a curriculum management tool to replace our current in-house system. It will be a single source of truth for our curriculum, it will reduce time-consuming paper tasks, improve efficiency, and support curriculum innovation and design.
This digital project will support the student success sub-strategy by enabling the curriculum shape and curriculum framework projects.
What is curriculum management?
Curriculum management involves planning, implementing, and evaluating our programmes and modules to ensure they meet standards and student needs.
What is a curriculum management system?
A curriculum management system is a digital platform designed to streamline and enhance the management of educational curricula.
What can I expect to use this curriculum management system for?
You can expect to use the curriculum management system for approving proposals, facilitating quality assurance processes, and to create, maintain and modify programme and module content.
Access the system from anywhere
The system is cloud-based and approved users will be able to log in from anywhere using single-sign on.
The system will launch in 2025/26
We are optimistic that from the start of the 2025/26 academic year the curriculum management system will be used for curriculum data management and programme and module governance.
By the end of the project in 2028, the system will be integrated with Banner and downstream systems that rely on curriculum data will be reworked.
Training on ongoing support will be provided
Yes, everyone will be trained to use the new system and there will be ongoing training and support resources available.
