We are a friendly and welcoming community where international students make up around 30% of our student population. So, whichever campus you are on, you’ll soon feel at home. Plus, all our student accommodation is open to international students.

We’ll be by your side with whatever you need, ensuring that you’re cared for and supported while you’re a student with us. If you’re eligible, you can apply for a scholarship or bursary, contributing up to £5000 towards your tuition. You could also earn money by taking on part-time work at the university through our Student Ambassador Scheme.

Academic entry requirements

ALBERTA: High School Graduation Diploma with a minimum grade of 75% in 5 subjects grade 12
BRITISH COLOMBIA: High School Graduation Diploma with a minimum grade of 75% in 5 subjects grade 12 pref grade B
MANITOBA: High School Graduation Diploma with 5 credits at 300 level and a minimum grade of 75% in 4 subjects
NEW BRUNSWICK: High School Graduation Diploma with a minimum grade 75% in six acceptable subjects at grade 12
NEWFOUNDLAND: High School Graduation Diploma with a minimum grade of 80% in 6 acceptable subjects at 3,000 grade 12, or 70% in nine 3,000 subjects
NORTH WEST TERRITORIES, NOVA SCOTIA, NUNAVUT, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND : High School Graduation Diploma with a minimum grade of 75% in five acceptable subjects at grade 12
ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL DIPLOMA: High School Graduation Diploma with a minimum grade of 70% grade 12 in six 4U or 4M courses
SASKATCHEWAN: grade 12 standing (or Division IV standing) with a minimum grade of 75% in five acceptable subjects at grade 12
QUEBEC: Diplomae d'etudes collegiales (DEC) with a minimum grade of 70% awarded after two years of study at a 'coillege d'enseignement general et professionnel (CEGEP) and IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in each skill
NB: Law / Architecture 80% from any province

English language entry requirements

Nationals of Canada and graduates of a bachelor/masters degree from Canada are exempt from IELTS, EXCEPT where graduating from a university in Quebec.

Quebec Only: Pass Diplome d'Etudes Collegiales with a minimum score of 3.0 or IELTS / equivalent

For entry to our Master's programmes, we expect students from Canada to have met the following:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.3 for courses requiring a UK 2.2 or with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 for courses requiring a UK 2.1

English language entry requirements
