Terms and conditions
Eligibility
To qualify for reimbursement on travel, you’ll need to meet a few conditions:
- You must be holding an offer to study at the University of Greenwich on an undergraduate course.
- Your eligibility for a contextual offer must be indicated in the data we receive from the University and Colleges Admissions Service.
- You must attend one of our in-person offer holder events and check in on arrival with our registration staff.
- We must receive your application for a refund, plus proof of purchase, within 30 days of the event taking place.
If you’re unsure if you’re eligible, just contact our team at opendays@gre.ac.uk before buying your tickets.
The travel reimbursement covers the cost for you to travel to one of our dedicated offer holder events. It’s worth up to £50 GBP if you use the following transport methods:
- Bus
- Car (to pay towards petrol only)
- Coach
- Train
- Other public transport (ie DLR, tram, underground).
You won’t be reimbursed for the following:
- Car hire
- Taxi/mini cab
- A train fine
- First class coach/train fares.
The travel reimbursement is for you. It isn’t available for any guests you bring to the event.
If you’re not eligible for this travel reimbursement, or we require additional information, we’ll contact you via email.
How to apply
To apply, either:
- Photograph your completed form and travel receipts and email them to us at opendays@gre.ac.uk.
- Send your completed form and receipts to the following address:
Offer Holder Travel Reimbursements, Student Recruitment Events, Bronte B102, University of Greenwich, Avery Hill Road, London SE9 2HB.
We cannot reimburse any claims that are made after 30 days from the date of your visit.
The most you can claim is £50. If your travel costs are less than this, we’ll refund the amount paid. If they are more than £50, we will reimburse you the sum of £50 only.
When you submit your claim, you must also provide your tickets and any receipts, and/or mobile screenshots of these.
How will my claim be paid?
Once we have your reimbursement request, we'll process a bank transfer payment for the total amount of your claim. You will usually receive this within 30 days, but it may take longer around university closures and bank holidays. If you don’t have your payment after 30 days, please contact us at opendays@gre.ac.uk.
Data protection
The university processes personal data belonging to its applicants, students and others and complies at all times with current data protection legislation. Further details are provided in our Privacy notices.
