This activity takes place online As we approach exams and the end of term assessments, it is particularly important to look after your mental health and wellbeing. We recognise that many of you will be taking exams under unusual conditions, and may feel more stress and anxiety throughout this period. To support you during this time, we are running a series of online workshops on Stress, Anxiety and Sleep, in partnership with Greenwich Time to Talk. The workshops aim to support students in gaining an understanding of issues which can affect your mental health and wellbeing. The professional facilitators will also cover the ways in which you can identify and learn more about coping skills. To help students increase their understanding of what sleep difficulties are and what techniques they can use to help improve their sleep hygiene. To register for the workshops, please contact Student Wellbeing Service by email: wellbeing@gre.ac.uk, or by phone: 0208 331 7875. Please let us know which workshops you would like to attend. You will also be sent a questionnaire which you will be required to complete. The Student Wellbeing Service is open and running a remote, online support service during Term 2. Student Wellbeing offers support through three teams: Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Disability & Dyslexia. The teams are available Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm. You can contact them if you have any questions or concerns or would like to book an online or phone appointment. Find out more about the Student Wellbeing Service and how they can support you here. You can find a list of student support services and resources in our Wellbeing Update. You can also continue to make use of the wellbeing resources on the University Mental Health Day web page and in our Wellbeing Hub. Please remember the university is here to help and support you. Greenwich Time to Talk is part of a national programme called Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT). It is for people experience mild problems of anxiety or depression and who are motivated to work to change this. They offer free psychological treatment which is mainly provided through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Counselling.
