We support a variety of mass spectrometric applications.

Chemistry, drug discovery, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics

  • Accurate molecular weight measurements; confirm and elucidate molecular structure and purity, identification of unknowns.
  • Quantitative analysis of drugs and metabolites in a variety of matrices including blood and urine.
  • Separation of complex mixtures using hyphenated techniques e.g. ion mobility mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography, direct analysis in real-time ionisation.

Biology, chemical biology, biotechnology etc. e.g. proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides

  • Accurate molecular weight measurements; confirm molecular structure and purity, detect post-translational modifications, calculate number of disulphide bridges.
  • Rapid reaction monitoring; monitor enzyme reactions, chemical modifications or protein digestion.
  • Amino acid sequencing; confirm amino acid sequence, de novo characterisation of peptides, identify proteins by database searching from protein digest.
  • Oligonucleotide sequencing; characterise or quality control of oligonucleotides.
  • Monitor protein structure; monitor protein-ligand complex formation under physiological conditions, macromolecular structure determination.

  • Separation of complex mixtures to confirm and quantify using database matching and retention time locking.
