Digital Access Bursary

New undergraduate or postgraduate students with low household income can apply for financial assistance towards equipment to support online learning.

Undergraduate or Postgraduate students with low household income can apply for financial assistance of up to £300 towards equipment to support electronic learning.

The University of Greenwich wishes to support students from low income families who have no or limited access to IT equipment or an internet connection in order for them to undertake their studies. The Digital Access Bursary is funded by our Greenwich Hardship Fund and there are a capped number of awards.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for the Digital Access Bursary you will need to meet the following criteria.

  • You are a fully registered new (year 0 or 1) home student at the University of Greenwich starting in September 2024 or January 2025,
  • You are studying at one of our campuses (Greenwich / Avery Hill / Medway).
  • A UK National or an EU National with the full maintenance loan from Student Finance England (or equivalent) and are fully income assessed tom demonstrate a household income of £25,000 or less.
  • If you are studying a postgraduate course, you will receive a postgraduate loan and you have a clear plan for paying your course costs.

You must also consent to share information with the University to verify your entitlement to the Digital Access Bursary.

How to apply

Please apply via the Greenwich Hardship Fund.

Applicants must provide supporting evidence relative to their circumstances as per the student checklist.

The Greenwich Hardship Fund and supporting bursaries will open from the 28th of October 2024 until the end of May 2025 or until all funds are allocated for the 2024/25.
