Registering your attendance

TLDRoffon

We expect you to engage with your studies on a weekly basis and monitor this accordingly. Our expectation is that you attend all your classes in person.

Remember to scan the QR code or tap in with your student card in the classroom so we can accurately record your attendance. Scanning the QR code is quicker and more efficient, once you have completed the setup on your mobile device. Card readers will be available in most classrooms, if they are not available in smaller classrooms or workshop spaces, your tutor will record your attendance.

If you are unable to scan the QR code or tap in via the card reader, please make your tutor aware at the end of your class so they can record that you have attended. Attendance records cannot be amended retrospectively.

You can read more about our expectations of how you should engage with your studies here: https://www.gre.ac.uk/student-services/student-attendance-and-engagement

Registering your attendance with a QR code

Registering your own attendance using your own device requires you to share your location, making it possible to verify that you were in attendance. Your location will only be shared at the point you register your attendance, i.e. when you scan the QR code or use the passcode. Your location will not be shared at any other time.

If you do not share your location your attendance will not be recorded, and any attempts to share QR codes or passcodes or falsify attendance or location data may result in disciplinary action.

If you have scanned a QR code or used a passcode and chosen not to allow location sharing, you may need to change your device or browser settings to allow it again.
