STAART was both delighted and honoured to host National Association of Disabled Staff Networks (NADSN) 10th anniversary and celebration conference. In June 2014, NADSN hosted their inaugural event at the University of Manchester. The conference was in person on our Greenwich campus and on Teams to enable our presenters and attendees to choose how they attended. Over 80 people attended in person and online and the event was deemed a huge success with copious amounts of positive feedback.
In addition to the in-person presenters, we also had a number of presenters from across the UK, Norway, Iceland and Canada. To coincide with the conference and the United Nations International Day for Persons with Disabilities, this is the first year we installed purple lights on two of our main buildings. We had entirely vegetarian and vegan refreshments and catering throughout the day which ended in an informal gathering with wine and good company.
You can access the presentations via the NADSN website: NADSN – National Association of Disabled Staff Networks
