To decide on the top ten list, StudentCrowd analysed more than 2,000 London university reviews across ten different categories that students rated out of five stars. The StudentCrowd award is completely independent, based on students’ experiences and the only award for UK universities calculated purely on student reviews.
As a result of Covid, the timeframe for the awards was expanded to 24 months from January 2020 to January 2022.
Greenwich had one of the highest recommendations of all the higher education institutions, with 99.8% of current or former students recommending it.
Vice-chancellor Professor Jane Harrington said: “The fact that these awards are judged solely on the reviews of our students makes them really special to us. We are absolutely over the moon to be named top of the list of Best London Universities. It’s real testament to the hard work and commitment of all our staff in supporting students and doing everything they can to ensure their time with us is positive and rewarding.”
The award follows hot on the heels of the 2022 Social Mobility Index, released last week, which revealed that the university had risen eight places from 20th to 12th in a new table measuring social mobility.
