University of Greenwich and Criterion Hospitality Partner to Create Exciting Career Opportunities for Students With Zedwell

TLDRoffon

The University of Greenwich is pleased to announce a new partnership with Criterion Hospitality, a hotel operator managing a diverse portfolio of 24 hotels with over 8,500 rooms across the UK, including its in-house Zedwell hotel brand.

In 2023, Zedwell opened its third location in London, just moments from historic landmarks such as the Cutty Sark, the Old Royal Naval College and the University of Greenwich.

This partnership will offer University of Greenwich students exclusive access to industry insights, paid work opportunities, and professional development programmes, helping to bridge the gap between academic learning and hands-on experience. Through guest speaker sessions, networking events, and career-focused initiatives, students will gain invaluable exposure to the fast-evolving hospitality sector.

This collaboration was made possible through Paula Mellon, Group Sales Manager at Criterion Hospitality, and marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter between the university and Criterion Hospitality.

Halima Aziz, Head of Hotels at Criterion Hospitality, commented:

"At Criterion Hospitality, we are passionate about developing the next generation of hotel professionals. This partnership will enable us to inspire students and demystify the industry, highlighting the exciting career paths available. We look forward to welcoming University of Greenwich students and providing them with valuable real-world experience. A special thank you to Paula for her dedication in making this partnership a reality."

Leon Annett, Head of UK Partnerships at the University of Greenwich, added:

"We are delighted to collaborate with Criterion Hospitality. This partnership will provide our students with vital industry connections, from expert-led guest lectures to potential job placements. Together, we’re fostering meaningful career pathways while strengthening the university’s ties to the hospitality sector."
