Win tickets through our new partnership with Blackheath Cricket Club

TLDRoffon

We have partnered with Blackheath Cricket Club to become their university partner for the 2021/22 season and academic year. Join the ballot to win tickets to see them play the Professional Cricketers Association (PCA) Masters in July.

Our new partnership will involve opportunities for staff and students to access events and matches at Blackheath Cricket Club, starting with tickets to watch this summer’s PCA Masters match live.

We are offering students and staff the chance to win one of 10 general admission tickets  to see the England PCA Masters team take on the Blackheath Cricket Club XI on 29 July,

The PCA Masters team (pictured) are made up of England Cricket legends, including former Middlesex, Surrey and England batsman Mark Ramprakash and Ashes winning batsman Jonathan Trott, and will be captained by former Surrey and England fast bowler Alex Tudor.

Gates will open at 2pm at Blackheath Cricket Club, with the T20 match starting at 4pm.

The university ticket ballot closes on Friday 25 June, winners will be contacted on Monday 28 June. Enter the ticket ballot here.

The day is a fantastic opportunity to get more involved with the local community as we anticipate hundreds of spectators who will be excited by the prospect of seeing these world-class athletes in action.

Our partnership

As the university partner of Blackheath Cricket Club (BCC), we will be able to provide exclusive access for staff and students to attend matches and get involved with the Club.

There are plans to arrange a match between the University Cricket Team and BCC at the Rectory Field, and the Club will provide students with a discounted offer to play cricket at BCC for the 2021 season.

Both organisations are looking to develop our work in the community with BCC’s cricket coaching team at charity partner Platform Cricket, and we hope that this will be the start of a long partnership.
