The University of Greenwich has announced that Professor Jenny Marie has been appointed as its new Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education).

Professor Marie will start her new role at the beginning of January.

Professor Marie is currently Head of Academic and Learning Enhancement at the University. Jenny Marie

Speaking about her appointment, she said: "I am very much looking forward to taking up this new role. Greenwich is a special place that empowers its students and staff to achieve their ambitions, and it’s a very exciting time as we work to deliver the ambitious plans set out in our Strategy to 2030. I am really looking forward to working with colleagues across the university and beyond to realise those plans and put in place new and enhanced ways of working to take the experiences of our students to the next level and to enable them to make a real difference to their communities.”

Professor Jane Roscoe, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Greenwich, said: "I'm really pleased that Jenny will be stepping up into this vitally important new role within the university and driving forward our work on Student Success. She brings with her a wealth of experience, including her work on shaping the curriculum and enhancing student experience. I am very much looking forward to working with Jenny in her new role.”

In addition to her role at the University, Professor Marie is also Chair of the University Alliance’s PVC Teaching and Learning Network.

She is a National Teaching Fellow and Principal Fellow of the HEA, with an international reputation for her expertise in the field of student partnership.
