Remember to social distance: 'Space' is as important as Hands and Face, in Hands Face & Space

We can't stress the importance of Hands Face Space enough - each part is important in keeping everyone safe - please follow these in every aspect of your lives.

The information below covers the 'Space' part of the Hands Face Space advice.

From 2 December, under Tier 2 (high) restrictions

Our Avery Hill and Greenwich campuses will be under Tier 2 restrictions, you must follow the rules below if you visit these campuses and/or if you live in a Tier 2 area.

  • In tier two you can't socialise indoors with anyone you do not live with, or who is not in your support bubble
  • You can meet in a group of up to six outside - including in a garden, or a public place

From 2 December, under Tier 3 restrictions

Our Medway campus will be under Tier 3 restrictions.  You must follow the rules from Tier 2 and the additional Tier 3 rules, if you visit our Medway campus and/or if you live in a Tier 3 area.

The tier two rules (above) apply, with the additional restrictions:

  • You can't mix with anybody you do not live with, or who is not in your support bubble, indoors, or in private gardens and pub gardens
  • You can meet in a group of up to six in other outdoor spaces, such as parks, beaches or countryside

Remember you can be fined for breaking the rules  

In England, it is £200 for a first offence, doubling on each further offence up to £6,400.
