Last week we introduced our heroes series of articles where we're celebrating all of our heroes for keeping us and our campuses safe. We will share further posts, featuring some of our staff who are helping to keep our campuses Covid-Safe.
Today we are introducing two of our Porters, Mark Bennett & David Murphy (both pictured). All of the porters have worked throughout lockdown, and are continuing to work on our campuses as they reopen.
A huge thank you to you both and the portering team who have kept things moving during lockdown. You have all been a key part of keeping the university running.
We have porters working at all of our campuses and
their jobs vary with no two days the same. The porters are, in many ways,
the people that keep the university ticking along day after day. They are responsible
for many different areas including distributing key equipment in a responsible manner and making sure the object reaches its destination safe and sound. and on time.
Our porters have been key during the Covid-19 pandemic. They have arranged and rearranged furniture campus-wide to comply with social distancing. This has meant moving, removing and rearranging whole areas to keep us all safe.
Please join us in saying a big thank you to Mark, David and all the porters for the fantastic work they are doing to keep all of us and our campuses Covid-Safe. If you see them around campus, please stop and say thank you in person.
