We have agreed the sale of Mansion site to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, who will develop the site into a school for the Harris Federation.
We will vacate Mansion site by 30 April 2020 and the Avery Hill Estates Board are developing plans to relocate our student and staff activities, including the library, to Southwood site. We will provide more information on our vision and plans to redevelop Avery Hill over the coming weeks and throughout the project.
The project will work closely with faculties and directorates, the Greenwich Students' Union and our partners at Avery Hill campus to plan this transition.
The Winter Garden is not part of this sale and the university is continuing to work with the Royal Borough of Greenwich on the future of the Winter Garden and we hope to have a further announcement on this soon.
