Bookable rooms, LapSafe loanable laptops and IT and Library support will not be available during this time. Any reservations placed between 14 December and 10 January may take longer to process.
The IT Service Desk will also be closed throughout the holiday. You can still log a call by emailing the IT Service Desk. Don’t forget, you can reset your password yourself at any time.
Please check our opening hours page before you travel. Make sure that you have your Greenwich Gateway ID card with you whenever you visit our libraries.
Apply by December 9 to access other universities’ libraries
If you’re leaving campus, but staying in the UK, you can visit university libraries nearer to you through the Sconul Access Scheme. Your access will need to be approved so make sure you apply before 9 December so it can be reviewed before you travel.

- If you are writing an essay Studiosity will be able to help with your spelling and writing style.
- BOB (Box of Broadcasts) and Kanopy are useful services to use if you are a film student but anyone can enjoy them.
- Cite them right online is very handy if you are getting your reference list together.
- Explore our expanded virtual libraries with more online resources now added.
- Our academic skills hub has lots of videos and articles that can help you wherever you are in the world.
- Librarysearch and all our electronic collection will be available throughout the holidays.
