Following the news of two earthquakes occurring in southern Turkey and northern Syria, we are calling students who may be directly affected to check in and will be sending targeted follow-up communication with support.
If you have been affected, have concerns or require support, please contact the Student Engagement Team.
People seeking information about relatives can call the Turkish Prime Minister's crisis centre on 00 90 312 289 6817, or the Turkish foreign office on 00 90 312 287 2555.
Support lunch
Greenwich Students’ Union will be hosting a support lunch next week on Wednesday 15 February from 12:00-13:30 in the Board room, Dreadnought, Greenwich Campus.
There will be free food, an opportunity to meet other students and to speak to GSU Advice and the Student Engagement Team about any additional support we may be able to offer you – do come along if you can.
Donation points
The university and GSU are working with Kings College to transport supplies to Turkey - more information about the donation points and items needed can be found here.
