Improvements to David Fussey

TLDRoffon

We're really proud of our new Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, a specialised teaching space that will provide our students with the very best education.

David Fussey has been transformed into a specialist teaching space as an expanded, state of the art clinical skills and simulation centre to provide students with the skills and expertise to become nurses, paramedics and midwives.

State of the art facilities

The specialised teaching space is now home to 3 Clinical Labs and kitted out with CAE specialised educational tools, with lifelike features and responsive physiology.

The patient simulators set the standard for high-fidelity realism, allowing students to develop critical thinking, communication and clinical skills without risk to real patients.

In David Fussey, you'll find:

On the Ground Floor you will find a Clinical Teaching Space , Storage, Technicians Room and Sports Hall Changing Facilities.

On the First Floor you will find 2 Multi Purpose Clinical Teaching rooms (including 1 with a Skyfold retractable wall), Hi-Tech AV and equipment, 3 Consulting rooms, storage and lockers.

On the Second Floor you will find 3 clinical wards, replicating the most up-to-date hospital environments and dedicated nursing stations in each ward, Camera technology linked to 3 Observation Rooms, Hi-Tech Audio Visual and equipment, 3 Consulting rooms, storage and lockers.

You can find toilets on all floors, which in these Covid times will help you maintain good hand hygiene, so do make sure to wash your hands frequently.

Share your pictures with us: Tell us why you love Avery Hill

We want you to show us around the new library spaces, inside the clinical skills labs, enjoying our green spaces or any space on campus and tell us why you love Avery Hill.  Tag @UniOfGreenwich on social media, and use #AveryHillImprovements or get in touch with Internal Communications.

If you'd like to be part of a small group showcasing our Avery Hill campus on the portal, Internal Communications would also like to hear from you.

Reporting issues:

We know that quite a lot has changed since many of us were last on campus, so some things might not work exactly as expected. If you find things that aren't working then please let us know by Logging a Facilities Request. We'd much rather know about it (even if that's more than once) and be able to fix it, than not know at all.
