MP visit to Medway CampusRehman Chishti, MP for Gillingham and Rainham, has visited the Medway Campus to see some of the cutting-edge work taking place.

As well as touring the facilities, including food, engineering and science laboratories, Mr Chishti met with senior leaders from the university.

He said: “It has been a pleasure to visit the fantastic state-of-the-art facilities at the University of Greenwich's Medway Campus and to learn about the research taking place in science, engineering, and pharmacy. It was also really interesting to visit the Wolfson Centre and the Natural Resources Institute, where there is great work going on to tackle global issues, including food innovation and climate change. I welcomed the opportunity to speak to students, staff and the leadership team to discuss opportunities for future partnerships and collaborations."

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jane Harrington, added: “The work going on at the Medway Campus is fantastic and visitors are always impressed. It was great for Mr Chishti to meet our students and staff as we look to further build our partnerships in the area, and to see the enthusiasm we feel for the work that takes place reflected in his views too.”
