We want to encourage café customers to cut the amount of disposables thrown away and reward responsible behaviour.
In the last full (pre Covid) year the university used over 250,000 disposable hot drinks containers, in the UK we throw away over 2.5 billion! If everyone brought in their reusable cups or used in café mugs then this could be zero. By simply taking in your reusable hot drink cup or a mug you can significantly cut your environmental footprint.
The 50p discount runs from today until 4 March and we hope that this will encourage people to reuse and maintain the habit.
