Enter by 30/11: If you've got an innovative business idea, enter our Enterprise Challenge

TLDRoffon

The annual competition provides mentoring, training and funding - and you don't need any prior business experience to take part.

The competition has two streams – a Social Stream, if your business will have a positive environmental or social impact (you can still generate a profit through this stream), and a Commercial Stream, for any general business idea.

Share a video outlining your idea by 30 November

Create an outline of your idea in a 2 minute video and complete the short online application form and send it to us by midnight on 30 November.

We'll review all the applications and score them based on the feasibility of your idea and motivation to apply. We'll invite shortlisted applicants to proceed to Stage 2 and match them with a mentor to guide them through the rest of the competition, which includes a series of free training workshops to help turn their ideas into a business plan.

Some tips for your video pitch

Make sure that your video answers these questions:

  • What is your business or social enterprise idea?
  • How did you get the idea?
  • What problem does it solve?
  • What makes you different to your competitors (other businesses or social enterprises who are solving the same problem as you)?
  • Why are you the right person to set this business or social enterprise up – what are your skills?
  • How would winning the Enterprise Challenge help you to launch your business or social enterprise?
