Call for donations for our Open Pantries

TLDRoffon

Supporting our students with the cost of living rise.

To help our students with the current increase in the cost of living, we recently shared our available support and launched our Open Pantries across all three campuses in collaboration with Greenwich Students’ Union. The pantries are open every weekday to students to access free food, toiletries and cleaning supplies and operate on a trust basis.

Students using the Open Pantries have shared how much of a difference this offer is making to them alongside the other support available.

If you would like to support the Open Pantry project, you can leave your donations at the following collection points with our Student Ambassadors between 10am-4pm every weekday:

  • Greenwich: Welcome Desk, Dreadnought Atrium
  • Avery Hill: GSU Reception, The Dome
  • Medway: GSU Reception, The Hub/Deep End

We welcome the following donations:

  • Food – staples and canned goods, i.e. rice, pasta, beans, tinned tomatoes, lentils, canned meals, pasta sauce etc.
  • Toiletries and sanitary products
  • Cleaning products
  • Energy-reducing items such as energy-saving light bulbs, draught excluders etc.

Please check the expiry date of any items before donating them.

We appreciate your support for our student community. If you have any queries about this project or further suggestions, please contact student-engagement@gre.ac.uk.
