Two phases of the Ascent Project are now live, with the third due to go live in June.
On 1 August 2021 the first phase of the project delivered an updated Chart of Accounts to the Horizon Platform. This synchronised financial data and simplified processes between our systems, including Banner Finance and Horizon. For colleagues involved in financial reporting and decision making, this presents a clear picture of accounting commitments.
In February and March 2022 Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting went live to align with and advise our budget planning. It delivered financial budgeting and forecasting, including staff cost forecasting and student number and income planning.
In June 2022 the Project will deliver the following Finance processes into our Horizon system, to provide us with a single platform for Financial and Human Resources Data:
- Finance – Processing and reporting of Financial Transactions, Payments and Receipts
- Procurement – Purchasing of Goods and Supplier Management
