The Generator's annual Venture Crawl event was back this month, with students jumping on a London bus to tour local businesses. Forty six students took part in the event and visited some amazing businesses, including BRONX Boxing Club, founded by Apprentice winner Marnie Swindells, The Migration Museum, which explores the movement of people to and from the UK; Level39, a cutting-edge co-working space for fintech and tech startups; and the Santander Work Cafe, a free working space for entrepreneurs. Throughout the day, they met business leaders, employees, and other students and had the opportunity to ask questions, network, and gain a deeper understanding of how these businesses work on a day-to-day basis. The tickets sold out within 30 minutes of them going live, making it one of the most popular events held by the Generator.

Venture Crawl was founded by King's College London in 2017 as a unique initiative bringing together students from different universities to explore London's entrepreneurial ecosystem. The event aims to immerse students in the world of entrepreneurship and innovation, introducing them to real entrepreneurs and founders who share their journeys and insights. Since the programme began, it has grown to involve over 700 students.

This year’s event concluded with an exciting twist. While some students attended the traditional pitch competition at King's College London, others headed to Bayes Business School, City Ventures, for a unique opportunity to watch live pitches from seasoned entrepreneurs. The day wrapped up with drinks and networking, allowing over 200 students from various London universities to connect and exchange ideas, making it a truly impactful experience. Our pitch was delivered by our Enterprise Challenge finalist, Serena Shanaia, who pitched her business, Racket Pulse, a performance-tracking device for tennis players.
