Building on an initial discussion around authentic learning in our kick-off event in January, the theme of the event is Authentic Assessment.
This event is expected to become a permanent feature of the way we work together in programme teams. It will support the design of assessment which creates authentic learning experiences, embeds EDI and sustainability principles in the way we assess students, and minimises risks of plagiarism and academic misconduct.
The aim of the Assessment Day is to support module and programme teams in carrying out the regular preparatory work which is expected to be done during the summer in terms of reviewing module handbooks and teaching materials. It will also provide a platform to start discussing changes which will require approval within our QA processes and respond to feedback from colleagues suggesting a programme-level approach to assessment design. You can find out more in the Assessment Day Document.
