The University of Greenwich brings together Hong Kong alumni to reconnect and strengthen global bonds.
The University of Greenwich recently hosted a series of alumni events in Hong Kong, welcoming alumni looking to reconnect with the university.
The response was truly exceptional, with a remarkable turnout from our alumni community. It was great to finally see them in person after such a long time.
A definite highlight was the alumni reception which was held at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong. Hosted and welcomed by Professor Jane Harrington, Vice-Chancellor and CEO of the university, the evening provided an engaging platform for alumni to reconnect, exchange updates and explore opportunities to contribute to our thriving community.
Professor Jane Harrington spoke of her immense pride of the alumni community in Hong Kong and their continued support of university activities. Pointing towards the enthusiasm and dedication shown by participants, the support and involvement underscored the spirit of the university’s global alumni.
With over 6000 alumni based in Hong Kong, we extend our appreciation to all attendees for their contributions to the success of the events. Your ongoing support and engagement play a pivotal role in building a global alumni community who support one another and push fellow Greenwich graduates to grow further.
Professor James Pong echoed the importance of the alumni community and how valuable this event was for attendees:
"An alumni association serves to remind us of our roots. An alumni association offers each alumnus a chance to connect with their fellow classmates and those who have graduated in cohorts different to themselves. This enrichens their social lives, providing a sturdy support system which both encourages and motivates individuals to reach new heights in their career.
In 2024 and the years ahead, I look forward to seeing membership growth, and I would certainly like to meet you at one of our alumni functions. If you have not yet joined the alumni association, please do join us."
