Introducing the university’s new school: shaping the next generation of global creatives
Launched in 2022, Greenwich’s School of Stage and Screen brings together the university’s existing Drama, Film and Television courses - and its new Music and Sound courses - in an exciting new school.
The new school, which builds on a tradition of successful Greenwich film and drama alumni, further strengthens the university’s focus on developing the global stage and screen creatives of the future - innovators, able to develop and share captivating and engaging content with diverse audiences.
Professor Misha Myers, Head of the School of Stage and Screen, comments “We are proud of the experience we offer our students, and of our graduates’ achievements in a range of roles in the creative industries. With the facilities we have on offer, our enthusiastic team and a focus on preparing students to work with the emerging tools, techniques and platforms which are transforming the creative arts sector, we’re very much looking to the future”.
Located at two sites, we’re within easy reach of central London - a magnet for creative industries and source of a wide range of creative and cultural opportunities. For Film and Television and Music and Sound students, the award-winning Stockwell Street Building in Greenwich’s vibrant centre is home to great resources - industry standard high-end cameras and fully equipped film, TV and sound studios - for those on the relevant courses. For our Drama students, we have the Bathway Theatre in Woolwich with a 100-seat auditorium and rehearsal studios. Bathway is also close to Woolwich Works, the area’s dynamic new cultural hub.
Stage and Screen’s range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses - including Film and TV Production, Film Studies, Drama, and Music and Sound - is designed to help you develop the skills you will need in the area you are passionate about.
