Study CISI accredited Global Financial Compliance and Combating Financial Crime

A module - Law 1074 Financial Services: Law, Regulation and Practice - on the LLB degree has been accredited by the prestigious Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Combating Financial Crime, and Global Financial Compliance.

The (CISI) is the largest and most widely respected professional body for those who are employed by the securities and investment sector in the UK, as well as in a growing number of financial centres in the world.

The partnership between the School of Law and Criminology of the University of Greenwich and the CISI can help students gain the relevant knowledge in the securities and investment related area. This partnership can also help the students on the LAW 1074 module to enhance their further employability via gaining extra financial services qualifications. The CISI qualifications are recognised by banks and organisations as the preferred professional qualifications for professional practitioners.

Under the partnership arrangements, the School of Law and Criminology will sponsor selected students to attend the two CISI exams for Combatting Financial Crime, and Global Financial Compliance respectively, which include registration with the CISI, workbook for the exams, and the registration on the exams.

Furthermore, all students of the Law 1074 module will be able to participate in the prestigious CISI Educational Trust Award, which rewards candidates who have a good understanding of financial industry, and with strong communication and personal skills. The top performing student will be invited to attend the CISI Annual Awards Ceremony.
